McLOVIN' THE SUPER-BAD SUPERBAD TRAILER

Thanks to Anne Thompson for the information on this new trailer for the upcoming Seth Rogen-penned comedy Superbad. It's a red-band R-rated preview, and Sony is premiering it on the Internet, but I couldn't just leave this one to Anne and the rest of the WWW. Even if all of Superbad's hilarious moments are packed into this one three-minute burst, I wager the movie will still be 8.5 times funnier than I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Enjoy, but turn it down if you're at work!

And actually, Anne has been on the trailer watch lately and has great posts, complete with the embedded trailers themselves, for the upcoming (unecessary?) remake of 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale being directed by James Mangold, and also Cate Blanchett as Bob Dylan (one of several actors essaying the role of Mr. Zimmerman) in Todd Haynes' I'm Not There.

Thanks, Anne!

I'm really quite excited about this film -- I can't get enough of any of the trailers (the standard, non-R-rated one is just as funny, if not funnier, than this one).

Have you seen Michael Cera's web series Clark And Michael? It's my new Wednesday morning ritual -- I'm completely hooked.

Dude,

We could go on and on about how unnecessary some remakes are but the truth to me is how much style and flair can a new director bring to the story.

I love the trailer for 3:10 to Yuma. I saw it about 3 weeks ago online and I could stop talking about it at work. I love a good western and I love a western that illustrates the sometimes accepted but otherwise insane brutality of western justice.

The last one to really grab me by the boo boo was Open Range.I hope 3:10 does the same.

BTW... take a look at the trailer for Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon and directed by james Wan, the director of SAW and SAW 3. This movie looks brutally bad ass and reminds me of some of the best Hong Kong shoot'em ups by the great John Woo.

Man you just gave me an idea to write about. Thanks buddy!

David: Thanks for the tip on Clark and Michael. For some reason it won't run here at work, but I've got it ready to go at home. This looks like fun, and great prep work for Superbad!

I saw SuperBad on Thursday night. It is great! I went with a bunch of people, and we all agreed it is the best comedy we've seen all summer.
