Emma, who is five and a half years old, brought something she'd drawn to my desk this afternoon. She was beaming with pride as she showed it to me, I was beaming with pride as I looked at it, and I felt I had to pass it along:
My daughter, the film critic. I think we've just stumbled upon a new regular feature!
Damn, that's cute. Clearly Emma's a chip off the old block. It took me a little while to figure out that it doesn't say "Piglet's Big Got He Best Movie Poon Film"--but it was late at night, my fault. She's quite talented at drawing, too!
ReplyDeleteHeehee... I was hoping that no one would notice that "Pooh" looks an awful lot like "poon"...
ReplyDeleteDennis,
ReplyDeletejust saw a comment you left on my blog, Mumbo Jumbo, in a feature I did on Drive-Ins! Just saw it(I mostly get SpamComments) and wanted to thank you! I will be adding your excellent work to my blog links, and doing a LOT of back reading here! Your horror film list alone is enough to let me know this a blog out rarified taste.
Thanks again!
How do you keep from hugging that girl (and her sister, too, by the way) so tightly that her eyes bug out? TOO ADORABLE! And SO smart...

P.S. Considering the fact that "poon" is a favorite word of my beloved's, I don't believe you need correct any pen(wo)manship on Emma's part-- she's clearly quite the aesthete in more than one catagory of the arts...
Me, I thought at first it said "porn film." But I'm not a well man.
