I'd known Bob for many ye...Thanks for the plug. I'd known Bob for many years and he graciously came to the Academy-qualifying screening of IT'S A FRAME-UP! He liked it so much that he sat through it twice and then said that if I did another B&S he'd be happy to be in it. Flattered and elated, I wrote the part of Lt. Frank Murphy (the emmis cop name) in "Murder Case" for him, asking him to play it just like Banyon--completely straight. He was absolutely wonderful, especially when he did the duck season-wabbit season bit with Todd Roosevelt. He'd already agreed to be in my next film, but sadly, that will never happen.
