However, I read interviews on coomingsoon.net and all of the major players expressed a willingness to do a second film, citing the pleasurable experience working with Nolan and each other. I hope that is the case. Great article, Dennis. Keep it up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795280.post-1119716799902057442005-06-25T09:26:00.000-07:002005-06-25T09:26:00.000-07:00I have been waiting for more than a week for your ...I have been waiting for more than a week for your Batman Begins piece, good to see you liked it. I felt that the villians needed a little more punch, not Jim Carrey wackiness or even zany Jack Joker antics. But in the end I found that I cared far more about seeing Batman than any of his foes. So much so that Batman fighting a bunch of ninjas would have probably been more interesting than the final fight scene. Maybe I was just hoping to see Ken Wantanabe kick some ass a la Last Samurai (he steals the show in that one). The hint of a sequel at the end (supposedly WB has already resigned everyone except Katie Holmes stating: "She won't be in the sequel... the next romantic interest will be a much stronger actress") is exciting, and I hope that this movie won't lose sight of what made it so good. By the way, isn't the premise of Batman falling in love with a girl and revealing his secret Identity in every movie kind of lame? I understand that a superhero movie has to have a romantic interest, but if you look at the Spider-man movies it isn't a bad thing to have a little consistency.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
