Not many Akim Tamiroff shoutouts these days. Personally, I was holding out for Thomas Gomez.

I found out later that a movie about this subject was in the works with Banderas attached to star - but as "El Gordo," actually sports agent Joe Cubas. Cuba Gooding, Jr. was going to play Livan's brother Orlando.Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11473441336451528462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795280.post-72155994466709758522007-05-03T16:03:00.000-07:002007-05-03T16:03:00.000-07:00Danny Devito...Oh and I'll be at the plate wait'nDanny Devito...Oh and I'll be at the plate wait'nLesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09233467915836646981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795280.post-37660545660405439492007-05-03T15:30:00.000-07:002007-05-03T15:30:00.000-07:00I could hear Vin Scully's voice in my head as I re...I could hear Vin Scully's voice in my head as I read that. Only in LA - Hollywood would you get an announcer trying to cast a movie in the middle of a game broadcast. Me personally would have probably been frustrated as ---- trying to follow the game through all of the gibberish, but that is just me, and I probably would not have been able to hear him anyway. :-) Must be nice though having a world class announcer to call your ball games.Lesterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09233467915836646981noreply@blogger.com
